New Balance is continuing to release the 574 in a special “Sonic Weld” build this season, having recently dropped a series of shoes in retina-burning hues known as the “Sonic Brights” Collection. Included in the group are monochromatic uppers featuring accent heel cups. The popular olive and orange look can be seen, as can neon orange, blue, yellow and teal colorways. The collection has landed at Kasina, but select pairs should land in the States soon. The New Balance 576 is next on deck with a special silhouette. Seen here in two colorways the new balance 420 womens “Camo Pack” is a stylish take on the popular print that plays olive or grey suede uppers against red or orange printed mesh. Even the heel caps get hit with the fun camo print while white accents help even things out a bit. Additionally, White accentuates its overall profile, which can be found on the laces and midsole component. The 10th Anniversary celebration of the new balance 420 black continues at the hands of HECTIC and mita, who paired up on these two colorways. These releases are numbers five and six from the two brands for this year. Opting for subtle tones, the sneaker twosome relies on tan and grey majorities, with purple liners in place on both. The green label relaxing x New Balance CM1500UG is crafted in a buttery smooth brown leather so elegant it had to come with dual-branded shoe cream for maintenance. United Arrows’ latest NB collab is every bit as impressive as their earlier efforts. We get to take a look at two different colorways of the New Balance 577 model, each constructed in premium suede and mesh materials. Each uses Black in the color palette, but one sticks to Biro Blue while the other favors Lime. As recently as this spring a nearly forgotten memory held by only the most seriously dedicated sneakerheads, the new balance 420 grey has returned in 2012 with a curious progression. The CM1600 popped up in a lovely ‘Heritage Blue’ style back in July, but Frank the Butcher soon let the world know that there should have been two blue Sixteen Hundreds that week. Boylston’s ‘Liberty, Freedom & Justice’ trio might go down as NB’s finest unreleased samples ever, but don’t expect this overlooked classic to simply slip into the shadows again. To the contrary, we see new colorways coming up for next spring, this new red-accented edition joining a similar blue pair Ronnie Fieg showed off about two weeks ago. Contrasting Grey hits applied on the toe box and collar provide a complementing touch to its aesthetically pleasing colorway, while pops of Red on the tongue tab, heel tab and signature “N” branding further pronounce the design. |
